Time (s) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (approx.)- Arrive at at 8:45am so we can begin promptly at 9am.
Where: Buttermilk Falls County Park
199 South Greenbush Road, Orangeburg, NY 10962
We will meet in the parking lot, review the LNT Principles, and hike about ½ mile to the peak (approximately 300 ft elevation gain). We’ll stop briefly for a snack and some photos before our return to the parking lot.
While the trail is a 1-mile moderate hike, it can be rocky. So, make sure to wear good hiking boots (no sneakers). Eat a good breakfast. Bring nut-free snacks, and plenty of water (2 liters should be more than enough) in a day pack. Wear layers, and pack a rain jacket.
Our end time is an approximation and will depend on the pace set by the scouts.
